Frequently Asked Questions
How will I know if ski club is cancelled?
All decisions regarding cancellation of the program will be made by mutual agreement no later than 11 AM on the day of the program session. Cancellations will be communicated out to families via email.
How does drop off work?
Parents need to park in a valid parking spot to drop their child(ren) off. DO NOT pull up in the road at the base of the stairs to let your passenger(s) out. Parents are not required to come into the lodge to sign their child(ren) in.
Upon arrival skiers and boarders should come into the lodge and find the table marked for Penn Brook (Grade 3-6) or GMHS (Grades 7-12). Check in with the Lodge Monitor to receive your lift ticket. If you are renting equipment, you will be given a form to bring to the rental shop when you check in.
How does pick up work?
The program runs until 7 PM, all skiers and boarders should check out by turning in their lift ticket NO LATER THAN 7 PM. Skiers and Boarders in 3rd thru 6th grade are required to have a parent or designated responsible adult present during sign out. Adults should park and come into the lodge and check out with the Lodge Monitor by returning the lift ticket.
What does it mean "Lesson are in the Learning Area Only"?
During lessons, your child will only be using the tow rope or the magic carpet and stay in the learning area. They will not be taught getting on or off the lift during lessons. Their lift ticket will allow access to the chair lifts but they may want to ask a monitor to help them getting on and off the lift until they feel comfortable doing it alone. We may also have some high school participants who can assist new skiers the first couple times down the mountain.
How does my child know when and where to go for their lesson?
For skiers and boarders with lessons, the lift ticket will have their name with a time and spot number for their lesson. For their first lesson, they will be shown where to go by a ski monitor. There are no clocks at Ski Bradford, so a watch is recommended to help them be on time.
